U2/Pearl Jam in Hawaii!

Katie and I just returned from Honolulu where we spent the weekend in tropical bliss while also taking in an incredible U2/Pearl Jam show at Aloha Stadium. I won lots of husband points by making this Katie's Xmas surprise.

We learned many things aobut Hawaii this weekend, or O'ahu rather. We stayed in Waikiki but rented ourselves a convertible and drove to the North Shore. The 20 foot swells were cool. The shaved ice and the shrimp trucks were cool, but the mountains took the cake. WOW! I've never seen such impressive mountians! I hear they're even cooler in Kauai!

Anyhow, if anyone out there can get to Hawaii around this time of year don't hesitate. It's another experience we'll never forget!

As for the show. Hands down, the BEST show I've ever seen! Vedder and Bono sounded amazing and to see both Pearl Jam (my favorite band) and U2 (Katie's favorite band) onstage together at the end of the night was our own little slice of music history. Hopefully they'll do more shows together.
